NEW: EPG also in Theater View

Theater View has a Television section.  In MC12, it showed only channels.  In MC13, it shows programs available:

The EPG is generated from XMLTV.  MC2XML is a good source.  More in our Wiki.

I haven't installed the beta yet, buts its looking very nice.

One request though, from the screenshots of the epg in both standard and theatre view, it seems the epg entries are displayed in a list.

Is there any way to change this into a table (like traditional tv guides) where one axis is channel and the other time. This will make browsing the epg and marking things for record alot easier than using the list view that is featured in the screenshots, especially in theatre view.

Not likely.  We tested both approaches and settled on the Tivo style "programs in a list" approach.  You can filter based on time, channel, or any search string in Standard View.  Theater View's EPG doesn't have all these features yet, but it's still under construction.

I guess filtering is helpful when you know what you want, but I still think a traditional table layout is more useful when just browsing (or hunting for stuff to record)

also, how much of the xmltv details will be displayed? (credits, language, subtitles, etc..., anything found here http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/xmltv/xmltv/xmltv.dtd?view=markup)

The issue is that if you don't have any data loaded for a particular channel you don't see it and hence can not just play it in TheaterView like you can in STDView.  Any way of just playing CH in TheaterView without the specific EPG Data.  Since JR is not keen on the table approach (which I like and is in STD View) could a standard 24 "Dummy" program for each CH work or even two seperate areas under TV, one for "Live TV" and other for the EPG?

I wish the table layout was supported in Theater View.

But anyhow,

...two seperate areas under TV, one for "Live TV" and other for the EPG?

...I like this.

When I click "Television" in theater view it displays Home-Weather-Files at the top and nothing else. Every other button seems to respond correctly.  I did not have television originally enabled in theater view.  Should I uninstall and reinstall?

This is a TIVO screen shot at it seems to use a table....(which I think we all like!)
