Hello,

I am currently using MC12 with 18 stereo zones.  I would like to migrate to MC13 without recreating all zones, etc.  Is there a way to do this without overwriting the current.  If not, then will overwriting MC12 allow for all existing conditions, zones, etc to now function.

The only way to do this is to export using regedit the HKCU registry for Media Center 12, rename it to Media Center 13, and reimport. 

However, this is not officially supported or recommended.

For what it's worth, there have been quite a few calls for including user settings in library backups and restores, so this feature is on the drawing board for a future version.

Thanks for the information.  Just curious...why is the registry save and import not recommended?  Are there changes in 13 that may cause it to break?  Should I just recreate.

Let me go take a look at the registry and see if I can just reimport that section.
