It seems that if I specify a directory (using "filename (path)") as a "rule for file display" in a particular view, when I try to connect to that library from another computer, no files show up. 
I am guessing that this is because Media Center is trying to apply that rule to the local computer, rather than the remote computer, where it should be applied.

I am right that this is a bug?

This sounds like a bug.

If you don't specify a base path for the rule, does it work alright?
