For the purpose of implementing digital video (and audio) recording on the PC, does there exist HDMI interface adaptors for the PC? If not, why not?
If so, how does such an interface compare with using a TV tuner card in the PC? I know that an HDMI adaptor would not allow one to record and watch at the same time because there's only one tuner available (on the TV). On the other hand, I'd think that using only HDMI to connect components provides for better fidelity overall.
