The recent discussion on replay gain and flac got me thinking. I can understand that a calculated field value can not be stored in tags to prevent mass tag updates should a value change somewhere, but if the calculation only references that particular file then this should not be a problem?
I'm thinking here that if I could create the field Replaygain_Track_gain and make it = replay gain +6 and store it in tags then it would solve the 83dB/89dB reference problem for me.
