I think having more customization available on the theater view welcome screen would be a very useful feature.  What if the horizontal items were moved up closer to the top of the screen and then the bottom was broken into a user definable number of columsn, say 3.  Then, the user could place tidbits there: show a playlist, text file, weather radar, news, etc.

Us MC enthusiasts always have a list of wishes and I try to post and wait...then repeat.  There are a lot of suggestions that don't get any response but then several weeks or months later, they show up in a new version.  The only reason for not doing this would be to keep the home screen clean.  I totally understand that because cluttered programs are not appealing at all.

getting what is playing now on the fromscreen is possible. must make your own skin. but that is fun to do. this is my front page in Theater View.

Thanks.  My trade is web development and I think they are built mainly from XML or XHTML tags and such.  I'll give it a try.
