I've just started using theater view and have a question about it. Is there a way to set the star rating from the Playing Now view? I see that the current track details on the right show the rating is text overlaying the cover art, but I don't see any way to set the rating.

If this isn't currently possible, please consider this a request.

You may you the keyboard shortcut, ctrl - shift - [rating, 1 to 5], if that helps you out?

Or you can use the Tag item in the drop down box and set any field.

Thanks for the tips. The keyboard shortcut is self explanatory, but where do I find this mysterious drop down box?

When you select an item (Enter on keyboard), it pops up and lists Play All, Tag, More, etc.

Is there a quicker way to rate than using the remote with the cumbersome hitting  backspace 5 times, selecting "1 2 3", and then selecting "Save changes"? It' around 25 button pushes just to rate an item...

I know.  It was funny to offer the suggestion.  I find it overly cumbersome and time intensive.  Have a good laugh and wait for an idea from someone else!

are you using a remote? you could set some buttons (1 till 5) to set the  rating using mcc commands.

Of course then they won't work for numeric entry.  But just 1-5.  So 6-0 would work great!  lol

I'm using the Irman plugin so I guess sending commands is out of the question.
