I find my sync'd MP3s on my IPOD to be very quiet and find myself turning up the volume higher than I believe should be necessary.

I see that the options when converting formats for the purpose of syncing has a percentage adjustment. Does anyone who how these percentages correlate to db adjustments?

Does +100% add 6db?
