Media Jukebox Freezing - Analyzing Devices
« on: May 01, 2003, 05:02:25 am »

I've heard so many good things about Media Jukebox that I decided to give it a try after many years of being a WinAMP fan. The install went well (a message saying it could not find Windows media player was odd, since I have Windows Media 9 installed) Then I popped an audio disk into my player and media jukebox started up and a pop-up started say "Analyzing Devices" which stayed up for about five minutes before I checked the task manager to see that Media Jukebox was not responding. Here is my system info as Media Jukebox reports it...
Media Jukebox  8.0.394
Install Path: F:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: AMD Athlon 1393 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 1048 MB, Free - 806 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000  Workstation 5.0 Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)

Internet Explorer: 6.0.2800.1106
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4916.400
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2800.1106
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.4718
wnaspi32.dll: Internal ASPI Layer

I have Plextor CD Burner which usually has a CDRW mounted with Nero-InCD and a Pioneer DVD drive which I use to mount all other media, which in this case was the drive that I used for the audio disk.
Media Jukebox plays MP3 files from my computer just fine. And the rest of the functionality seems to work...Any solutions?
Cheers
