Why does MJ12 change my volume control settings?
« on: May 14, 2009, 11:10:24 am »

I have Windows XP.  Every time I open Media Jukebox 12, my volume control automatically changes.  The main volume control decreases to almost nothing while the wave control maxes out.  These are obviously not ideal listening levels, nor are they good for my speaker system.  How can I stop this from happening?

Uncheck this setting:
Options > Startup > Optimize volume

Normally the wave line is a software attenuation and the main line is a hardware line so it's best (S/N ratio wise) to put the wave line at the maximum and control the hardware line.
