DSP studio - tempo increments
« on: March 26, 2009, 05:17:54 pm »

I am only able to change my tempo/pitch/rate increments by 6% at a time, either using my mouse or keyboard. Is this deliberate or is there a setting somewhere? I would like to be able to control it in smaller increments, or better yet be able to input a number directly rather than just use the slider.

Carefully use the mouse.  I am able to get .03 increments or .04 increments if I try carefully...isn't this enough control for you?  I remember when they first added this feature thinking: why do we need such FINE control?  I thought major jump points would be helpful...looking back I think it's a good balance between extreme control and simplicity.

Jumping by .01 at a time would require either a huge slider or smaller max/min points.

Nope, I still only get 0.06 each increment. I used to be able to get 0.01 on ver 12 by using the keyboard.

Fine control is useful for dj'ing purposes (beat matching, flow, etc).

Yea, that makes sense.  Interesting that it worked in version 12.  Keyboard adjusting works the same for me, not allowing fine adjustment.

Coming back to this after a couple months... So is the 6% increment intentional, or just something quirky on my system?
