uninitiated key request for MC14
« on: August 19, 2009, 06:33:12 pm »

I did not request a temporary key for MC14, but just about half hour ago I received an email from buy-button@jriver.com giving me a MC14 key. I bought the license a while ago but I never installed MC14 nor requested the temporary key.

So was this a glitch that caused it be sent or is some one trying to get my license key? I just want to make sure.

OK I guess I didn't explain myself properly. I live alone & the only place I even use MC is my laptop (where I haven't even installed MC14 yet), which no one else has access to. So there is no one else that I can give my license to. To make it simple, is there any way to cancel that license & give me a replacement? Or do you think I can continue to use the license without issues.

I guess, I am trying to find out if you guys have any ways of knowing if indeed this license was activated today & that is the only way that email would have been generated. If yes, then I have to make sure I reset all my passwords - I don't want to rule out the possibility of some one accessing my systems without my knowledge.

I think you can just wait to see if anything else happens.  We'll take care of you if it does.
