M2T Thumbnail Display
« on: October 27, 2009, 08:20:31 am »

I imported a lot of m2t files and for a while haali was doing it's thing by slowly creating a thumbnail image taken from the video.  This is extremely helpful particularly in theatre view identifying what movies are what.

However now it no longer seems to be working.  I've rebooted, changed thumbnail views....left it for a day and no progress.

Any solution?  Is there anyway to force this to happen?  Is there another filter i can load to help.

Anybody?  I've stalled completely now.  About 1/2 have populated.

Even if administrators don't know the answer should they post that?  How so I know you have even looked?  This didn't happen on 12 so it must be a 14 thing.

Turn off task bar notification for Haali.

Turn off the complaint feature in posts.  Sometimes nobody knows the answer.

Jim,

I can't beleive somebody in the company didn't know the answer to this or at least suggest "rebuild thumbnail".  I just found it...shame on me for not seeing it before but this is pretty bad that nobody on behalf of your company suggested this.

That's probably a problem with the splitter.  Haali and FFDShow both use "task bar notification".  It should be turned off in their settings.  It seems to cause a problem when multiple icons appear (because MC is opening multiple files simultaneously when it builds thumbnails).

Now, you may think we should know everything and tell you whenever you ask, but it is a very big world out there.

I understand that and appreciate your help....my issue is that I have no idea when when you have visited my post but don't know the answer...sometimes I get there are no answers but it's comforting to know that at least you have looked at it.  You may want to look into a feature which shows you have visited a post or not.  It would be helpful.

Thanks.

FYI I had taskbar notification off but it didn't seem to solve the problem.  Only when I rebuilt thumbnail did it work.
