I thnk it would be a BIG plus if one could right click on a title
and have the option to open it in media editor.

BTW: I played an MP3PRO file today with VBR without a problem.

You're in luck

Right Click -> Send To -> Tool -> Media Editor...

Also, play with the "Drop Target" to do the same thing.
