Multiple Artist Album
« on: April 11, 2010, 10:43:38 am »

I just ripped a multiple artist album in Media Center.
By default it's split it up into different artist directories, and I forgot to change it after moving to MC15.   (This still seems a bizarre default setting to me)...

I've now gone to the rename tool.  I can't see why it's not going to put the songs into the Assorted folder.
It does the same if i use [Album Artist (Auto)] screenshot here

Another issues is that the Base Path defaults to the %User Profile%\Music\
I think really it should default to the current location set in Options->File Locations.

Also check your "Album Artist" field to make sure it didn't accidentally get populated with the "Artist" value.

Thanks Quixote.
Unfortunatley that is not the case - Album Artist is empty...

ah
according to Markos logic here

It's because MC has already put them in different directories, rather than a single directory ... I still don't get that as a default  ::)

Good find there.  I didn't realize that.  Very good to know.
