i tried to build a my cd library using mj8.  however, i have not been able to figure out how to make the cd location read the cd name.  the location shows a 10 digits number that is unique to the cd, but lost all the meaningful information like the cd name is, ie. instead of "door hits" or "beatles", it shows "dx0abdc000".  i read the forum, it seemed like it has been there since 5/25, but no solution yet?  any suggestions?  i have email a screen shot to jriver a week ago, and hope to hear something back, soon?

Just edit your CD & DVD Media View Scheme or add a new one for CD...then use Components 'Album Artist' and 'Album' (for example) with Search Criteria 'location=[(0x" ~d=c type=cda'.  Works pretty well that way.

i want to see the disk id/name preceeding the song instead of the meaningless 10 digit hex number.  i have no problemms in locating the song, it is the problem of locating the disk

With my suggestion, I don't see the disk ID anymore...you can custom configure MJ to do what you want...use View Schemes.

thanks.  i have been trying for half an hour, has no squat idea how to do it w view scheme.  would you be kind enough to give some instructions. thanks alot.  i am waiting to build my cd library.
