I was testing the issue with moving from track to track I reported yesteday.

I notice that the "Please wait..." window that appears no long locks access to MJ running underneath and the track moves on etc - Cool, thanks for the quick fix!

The issue I now have is that you can bring MJ to the front and fiddle with the player etc. which is great, but the "Please wait..." window get lost and there is no idication that the process is still running (nothing on the task bar)  until the file properties window opens.

If I move back to the media library view I can change the selection of files and call up more file properties. When one of the file propoties windows opens and I hit cancel the other "Please wait..." window appears. If I hit cancel MJ crashes and burns.

I hope this is clear? If not let me know and I'll have another try at explaining what I'm doing - but it does crash MJ every time.

Gatobrit,
Don't do that.

HTH,
WDYE?

A couple of posts after a couple of hours.  It's a far cry from the early builds.

JimH> Gatobrit, Don't do that.

Will try not to in future, but "Idle hands..."

Also, can confirm HTH's post that emusic integration is very slick again. Muchas Gracias as they say in Salford.

Indeed. (You were quick!) Although I've never seen Salford look so charming and rural.

I was born in Manchester which is joined at the hip to Salford. When I was a little 'en, Salford was a dour place, huge magnificent dirty grimy buildings due to it's being in the heart of the industrial revolution. Heaven knows what people's lungs looked like. If there's a place in England where elephants go to die that place is Salford.

(To try and raise the chuckle factor on Interact please feel free to flame me at salford@birada.com rather than post here!)

Bug in getting image from scanner.

I'm able to preview an image and there are no errors when scanning.  When the scan is complete, the image location displays "linked to external file [appropriate path and filename]".  But, the scanned image is not only absent, the new file cannot be found on any drive in a search.

JimH,

I truly wish that I could confirm HTH's success with eMusic downloads, but alas I cannot.  Even single track downloads are failing, "Connection failure. Web site cannot be reached.", if its any consolation Download Express cannot grab single tracks either (it never could process the rmp files).

Gvag,

I had the same problem you have...it still didn't work with build 300/302.  But, I went to eMusic.com and logged in again (to check my account status) and, then, the Download Manager started to work!!  Give that a try.

Home download page still says "MEDIA JUKEBOX v8.0.293".  Not sure if that's by design.

The Help button on the Label Wizard is not active.

Nikoly or Matt, were you able to duplicate the image scanning problem?  BTW, I'm able to scan an image through Windows Scanner Wizard.  Thanks

I was ripping some music using EAC (just for comparison) while MJ was running, and decided to use MJ to copy music to my Nomad II.  When I clicked on the Nomad II icon under Handhelds, the 'scanning devices' window came up, then locked my machine hard.  Can we have better error handling there, if possible?

Another bug:
All songs that doesn't have a genre becomes 'Blues' (assume that it takes the first available genre alphabetically). Clearing the genre for those songs fixes it, but only for that session, all is tagged blues when you restart.

I'm getting the same thing as Marty3d. Have left some files genre untagged intentionally, now find they are tagged 'Blues'.

Seems to be some focus problems when selecting track info pages from the options button in playing now window. Mouseover needs a 'click' to get MJs attention. Usually selection is highlighted right away, and slide-out options are available without having to click.

Anyone else?

MachineHead,

I'm also experiencing a focus problem when selecting track info pages in playing now view:

This only occurs when track is playing
Open Plug-in Manager, select display, track info, download plug-in
Track Info page is displayed for a second or two, then focus returns to playing now.

The problem of the file counter freezing when reading file properties has been solved(even if the counter is rather irregular) but is still present when saving the updated properties: the counter remains fix at a low figure (usually 1) until saving ends. It's just a minor problem.

I caught a bug in 8.0.302 last Saturday night. For me, it could have been a show stopper.

Here's the scenario:  I have about 80 tracks in Playing Now. Seq number 12 is playing. I'm in Media Library searching for a song to put up next after the currently playing track. I find one and send it to Play Next. While I'm still browsing around in Media Library, the new track starts to play (I assume at Seq number 13).  I go back to Playing Now and find my song that is now playing is at Seq number 47, not 13!  It turns out the song I picked from Media Library was already on the playlist at Playing Now.  The original entry (now a duplicate) was playing at entry 47 instead of the one just added at 13.  In my situation (playing at a dance party) this could have thrown off my planned sequence of play if I hadn't seen it in time to drag the currently playing track up to 13 and delete the other copy from the playlist.

Can something be done to make sure the track sent to play next is the one that plays next if there is already a duplicate entry?
