should have turned of autoimport on the client first.. or disconnected the share.  ;D
does update the imports nicely on the server though (removing them was not hard though.)

not sure if it is possible, but could it be so that dragging the files from the mc client to the desktop would work?

I'd really like this as well.

but a 'handheld' folder works great.
my wife is going to love this when she comes back in 3 weeks. she can organize the images etc very nicely and especially she can turndown the volume on my machine just from her workspace.

ill stop now talking to myself.

im happy though.

Can you tell me, if the server auto imports a new file, is that new file automatically pushed to the client, and if so, how seamless and how quickly does that happen?

when a file is auto imported on the server it is pushed over. takes a minute or two. same for deleting from the server. deleting a file from the server via the client works except that the file is not removed, si i guess on a next import it will show up again.

Just to expand on what Gab explained... It is completely seamless.  They just show up.

I love it.  The best thing about using the Library Server is that you essentially have Auto-Import running all the time.  Most of the time your "new stuff" is "already there" when you use MC on a HTPC in "client mode".

No, it works. It's just that the file remains on the server until the client is closed. This is not new behaviour as I see this after deleting from a non-LS client/shared library too. I think the client may retain a "lock" on the file (at a filesystem level) until mc is closed.

In any case, yes, the whole thing works seamlessly as others have said and I'm really greatful for this much requested functionality.
