Deleted Tracks Still Show Up In Library
« on: February 19, 2011, 08:05:49 am »

Can anyone help me with this, it should be a simple task.  I did some cleaning out of my music folder and deleted a bunch of tracks that I had duplicates of.  I did this in windows explorer, that is I just deleted them from my music folder, not through media center.  But those files still show up in media center.  If I try to play them I get an error obviously.  I could try to remember every file I deleted and go through my library deleting them one by one, but that is ridiculous.  There HAS to be some way to search the library for missing tracks and remove them, that is about as basic as it gets, yet try as I might I can't find that function anywhere.  I'm using Media Center 15 and I would really appreciate any help you guys can offer.  Thanks.

Tools > Import > Auto-Import

Be sure 'Fix broken links' is set to Yes or Yes (protect network files).

You might also consider deleting from inside Media Center.

That worked, thank you.  I was using import, not auto import and I guess it doesn't have the same function.
