Author Topic: MC16 as DLNA controller - drop out in playing music on DLNA media player  (Read 1466 times)

I'm using MC15/16 in different configurations but only for music. One config is using MC as a controller to stream mp3's from a NAS with TwonkyServer to a Soundbridge M1001. After picking a title in MC15 the SB starts to play after 2-4 seconds. Moving to a new title takes similar time. After 2-3 seconds the title is played without any problem.

This is unfortunately not the case in MC16.  When I pick a file it takes 3-5 seconds before the SB starts playing and very often after additional 1-2 seconds there is one drop out for a few seconds.

If I use a MC16 library/client config with a Laptop as client the delay in playing is reduced to 2-3 seconds without any drop out.

Any explanations?

Is the drop-out consistent?
It'd be nice to get a dump of this though that may be difficult to get all of the traffic without connecting all three devices to a hub (not switch).
