Theater View
« on: March 26, 2011, 02:20:15 pm »

 ?
I have installed version 16 latest beta on my new notebook (Asus N73SV) with Win7 64bit, IE 9, Full HD display and I can not switch to theater view.
There I only get a black screen. Everything else seams to work. Any hint, what could be wrong ??
regards

Welcome to the forum.

Try updating DirectShow from Microsoft.  Try updating the video driver.

Hi , I have updated directx, loaded Win7-codecs, updated the driver for the grafic card, no change.
I do not even get the start screen in theater view, where you see the menue in the middle. Just a black screen.
Same in Full screen view. I only can switch ctrl 1, 2 and 5. It works fine on two other computers, one with win7 64 and an older laptop with win7 32. I just found out about the program and I like it very much, especially the theater view, when playing music.
Is there any other hint, which can lead to solving the problem ? ?

The graphics hardware must be 3D capable.

I'm having the same problem:

see here:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=63451.0

It seems there is something about 3D drivers ..

What graphics card are you using ... mine is the intel HD integrated one.

Well, the hint about the grafic card was the clue. The new notebook with the new Intel processor uses the intel grafics per default.
Obviously this is not 3D capable. So I had to configure the system (the nvidia app) to use the nvida grafic for media center, and it works now. :)

MC 16.0.72 may fix this problem.  It's at the top of this board:

Intel integrated graphics did not correctly support full screen anti-aliasing.
