Not very convenient, as you have to copy & paste the search to the Search Bar. Unless you have a lot of searches, something like a MRU list on the search box would be more practical.

If you navigate with forward / back, the search is preserved.

So if you're toggling between two views, try the forward / back arrows at the top of the view (or the buttons on your mouse if you have them).

Yes, but just to be clear: The search associated with the view is preserved. This is not a way to apply the same search to a different view.

It would be handy to have a MRU list of searches on the context menu. The label on each one could just be the raw query (or the first n characters of it). Even if the exact search required is not in the list, something there might be a good place to start. After selecting it, the wizard can be used to modify it. This would also be a convenient way to use the same query in a different view. (I suppose the way to do that is have a common MRU all views—for each of the media types.) This would fill a gap for searches too complex to be entered directly each time needed and not complex (or used) enough to warrant saving as Smartlists...

...Speaking of which, it would also be handy to be able to select a Smartlist from the context menu. This would provide two useful functions:

• The ability to display the results of a Smartlist in the current view (instead of a playlist), and
• A mechanism for recalling queries previously saved as Smartlists (a "save to smartlist" function could be added to the wizard).
