MC16 and CoreAvc
« on: June 23, 2011, 12:23:23 pm »

Hi All,

It seem to me that CoreAvc decoder engine will run only under Windows Merit setting.
I like CoreAvc+Haali filter. from several test I made I can see clearly Haali filter know to map 450MB vRAM (when need), and use them well.
None of MadVr or EVR can do it.

I'm happy to stay in this setting, the only problem is, M2TS, and TS files cant play, or play with black screen.
the only options for me to play all files PLUS M2TS, and TS is: Red October HQ.
In that setting  CoreAvc is not working.

My questions are:

1. Is MC16 with RO HQ support CoreAvc?
2. Can you provide short guide how to use CoreAvc in MC16 ?
3. Under "Windows Merit setting" the only filter that working is EVR, even if I chose Haali filter! (pls check it)
can you bring back to work Haali filter?

thanks and, hope my English is clear.

CoreAVC is only an H.264 decoder. Most Blu-rays (m2ts files) are encoded with VC-1. Therefore, CoreAVC can't decode them. The TS files might also be using something other than H.264.
