Preparing CD-R compil with the playlist feature: how to...
« on: June 22, 2011, 09:56:58 am »

I use other softwares, like CD Architect, to do music compilations. But of course I prepare them in MuC, testing the flow and alll...

Small question: to prepare the tracks for the work in the other software, I copy them, using the "RENAME, MOVE, & COPY FILES" window. 'Couple of questions:
  • How can I insert the Playlist Track Number in the Filename, so I can recreate the playlist quickl;y and easily int he other software?
  • Can I convert them to "24-bit" Wave files?
  • Can I apply track replay gain while copying?

I think you'll need to perform this in two steps, the first to copy and sequence the files, the second to convert formats.

1) Create a playlist in  the order you want the tracks.
2) Copy the files to your destination, using CustomData(#) as part of your track name in the file copy rule.  CustomData(#) will give you the sequence number.
3) Convert the files to wave.

I don't think you can apply track gain on copy.  This is a separate Analyze Audio step.

If the files are going to a CD-R, the burn CD function has the ability to add a sequence number.  See:

Great. Using it with the padnumber function to get 2-digit sequence number, I got exactly what I wanted. Thks!
