Some really good work here, I'll keep the dark, small font edition, and will probably tweak a thing here or there, the menu background and view tabs, for example, to help my eyes land in the right place.

Thank you for your efforts, and thank you for sharing.

Regards,

It looks similar to Silent Night skin http://alexander234.deviantart.com/art/Silent-Night-167394420

I will say they are closely related in the evolutionary history of MC skinning lol :) Good job overall! I like the MIN MAX CLOSE buttons and the volume bar and so. They fit perfect!

Thanks for the "Silent Night" link. This is also an excellent skin.

This will be my chosen skin for some time to come, and I've attached it to this post.

I like it - is there an easy way to get the "highlight background" as you move the mouse over items in the tree like in the Purity skins?

I disagree, I don't see the similarity. Check at the details, always check at the little things.

and I've attached it to this post. Thank you, both of you.
Hi Marko, I respectfully ask you to start a new topic for your skin,I do not know if you noticed, but the only thing similar between the two skins is that they are black. :'(. Changes the meaning of all my work. It seems like you're the creator of the topic.
Thanks.

Hmm, no hijack intended, sometimes, threads just go that way...

All things are in the eye of the beholder, and for me, when I look at the two skins, I see similarity. You may not agree, but that does not mean that either of us are wrong, only that we have different perceptions.

My favoured flavour of Purity is still installed here, and from the outset I have acknowledged the quality and completeness of your work. I still stand by that and would recommend your skin to anyone.

I've made an attempt to tidy things up, better for you now?

Thanks! This is the best skin for MC16 right now IMHO.

I got the v1.1 - it is a list of files. I was expecting 4 folders as the readme.txt says. How do  I install this?

Thanks,
Osho

Download again.
I don't know what do you mean. FWIW i see the RAR like this:

You can see the 4 folders. Just copy this 4 folders into: %MC directory%\Skins\Standard View.
The ttf file is just in case you use XP (is the Segoe UI Semibold font). In Vista/7 is not necesary install the font.
The right panel in the image (list of files) is just a comment within the RAR. Just ignore this. (if this is what you mean with list of files).
Cheers.

Thanks - I was opening it in WinZip for some reason and there I just saw a long list of files instead of the folders. I opened it with WinRAR and there it looked as you mentioned. It worked great (I had to open WinRAR as an Administrator).

Thanks again for these awesome skins - my favorite is Dark with Large Font.

Thanks,
Osho

Could the dark version of this screen use white text instead of black in the area that says "Playing Now..."? I find that black on dark grey is very hard to read (especially on monitor with not such great contrast).

Thanks,
Osho

Just change this line on main.xml file with this
(original)
<TREE>
    <Colors Text="000000" Back="303030" SelectedText="FFFFFF" OverText="FFFFFF" SelectedBack="303030" />
(modified)
<TREE>
