Zoom in on a movie
« on: July 06, 2011, 03:09:30 am »

Before  Changed: Mouse wheel over video seeks instead of zooms (use Ctrl+Wheel to zoom)

I used to zoom my movies to fill the screen

How can I do this with the letterbox movies.

I prefer a full screen.

Press the control button and scroll?

This is correct.  The new command (control+scroll wheel) matches the zoom functionality in Chrome/Firefox/IE and many other Windows applications, so it makes more sense and is easier to remember.

The best way to do it and keep the content centred is to use the OSD. While the movie is playing, press the down arrow until you see zoom. Then press the right arrow to zoom in until you're happy with the size.

Oh. You're kind of stuck then, unless the mouse is a multi-button variety (more than the standard 3+scroll), which will allow the programming of modifier keys like ctrl. Alternative is to use a remote.

Didn't find a remote very user friendly, its a shame as I think there's a lot of us out there who use a mouse to control MC.

Maid, I find TheaterView much easier to navigate with a properly set up Remote than with a mouse.
