Synchronisation of track numbers with #
« on: May 27, 2002, 07:26:30 am »

If you want to play your album in the right order, and you have the right track details already added to the ID3 tag, when you press play on the album icon, the order that is played is the # (library position?).  It is then possible to "update play order" but I'd like _not_to update play order, I'd like the position to be correct from the offset.

Any good ideas paid for in gold.

Yeah I get this a lot too... Sometimes track order is correct sometimes it is in seq order...

Would like a way to A) lock track order as priority and B) when album is stopped and the play is pressed restart at the beggining of album eg dont remember last play position....

Check what you have set in settings/options/tree & view on the right side.

You can re-order anything by getting the album ordered the way you want (click on track# at the top of the list of tracks) then right clicking on the album, then choosing properties/tools/..track order from list order.

Thanks for the comments:
JimH: this is a good way to add track number info if you know the order.  MP3 Internet Renamer is also a great piece of freeware.  Type it into your browser if you want CDDB info filling in for lists of tracks on your machine.
BiPolerTribble: Sorting albums into playlists works, but in my opinion the best feature of Media Jukebox is the "Media View".  I don't _think_ playlists can feature as the albums in this section.  If there is another way (maybe rescanning the album in a different way?), then please let me know.
