MediaCenter Sometimes Reinstalls Itself When Run
« on: April 20, 2012, 11:46:36 pm »

For a while now, I've been running into a situation where MediaCenter goes through what appears to be a re-installation if itself when I run it.  This happens on several PC's and after MediaCenter and the PC have been properly shut down and I've seen it happen in MediaCenter 16 and now several builds of 17 (currently running build 122).  Does this happen to anyone else?  Is there a fix?

This will happen if there is an update downloaded, but not applied yet.  Could this be what is occurring?

Yeah, it looks like the automatic updates are probably the reason - it was set to Stable and Disable Automatic Updates was not checked.  I had checked under Tools -> Options for something related to automatic updates and hadn't thought to look at the Help menu.  Thanks guys.
