WTV File Playback Judder on Extended Monitor [Updated]
« on: March 16, 2012, 12:37:57 pm »

I am experiencing micro stutter on the play back of files recorded using Microsoft WMC no matter which channel they are recorded from.  The problem is present with both HD & SD files.  Is there an issue playing 50Hz .wtv?

Playback of the same files through WMC is perfect!

Is MC intended to be compatible with .wtv files?

Until today I have always used WMC for playing back off air recordings, it would be very convenient if MC could do the job.

After receiving confirmation of no issues from other JRiver users I have determined that the problem is associated with MC playing .wtv files on an extended monitor.  Playing the files on a single monitor configuration is fine.

Is it possible to have MC force exclusive monitor mode (the same as WMC) when playing .wtv files?

I appreciate this might kill the graphic user interface but presumably the keyboard short cuts and remote functions will still work.

Is anyone in the UK actually using MC to watch their .wtv recordings?

Can we have a fix to make .wtv files play nicely on an extended monitor?
