Is it possible to merge (avi) video files in MC ?

Is it possible to join/merge (avi) video files in MC ? If so, how do I do that ?
If not, does anyone know a good, preferable free, program to do that easy ?

I use MKVToolNix. It's web-presence looks rather geeky, but it includes an easy-to-use GUI ("MKVmerge"). This will combine anything that's compatible (it will tell you if they aren't), including multiple audio streams and text subtitles, into an MKV container.

Thanks for the reply.
I already had that, tried it meanwhile but the resulting file didn't play well.
But I found a solution, doing a Google search. With VirtualDub it was very easy and the file plays fine.
