how can I keep mp3 as ext when burning dont want cda

i want to keep my ext as mp3 and was told to burn as an data disc.
but data disc wont play in my cd player. anyway around this so i can play in a cd player?

pop a commercial Cd in to the computer and then look at the CD player's directory in windows explorer

you'll find that the tracks are in cda format

that's the format that non-computer CD players read

you can't do anything about that

digital CD players will read and play mp3's on a data CD

but if you burn those mp3's as an audio CD, they'll get converted to .cda so that non-computer CD playeds can read them

You cannot keep it as an mp3 extention if you want to play it in a regular CD Player. Most Regular CD players will not play mp3's.
