Play Doctor not saving include/exclude rules
« on: May 05, 2012, 07:21:10 am »

There is not many days since I've started using Play Doctor. I really like it, and it will probably be my favorite playback tool on my workstations. The one thing that really annoys me is that I have to add the exclude and import rules every time I play with the Doctor. Even just a view change resets it all. Not just a restart of the client.

Yes, I know I can export and import rules. But it still takes a unnecessary much time when you just want to hit play with the exact same rules as last time. Could you please look into saving the rules?

I had this problem in the past, MrHaugen.

I found out that if I made rule changes, and then changed views before hitting the Play button, the rule changes weren't being saved.

Trying clicking play before you make your view changes and see if that helps.

Ok. It looks like you're right about that one. If Play is not getting hit after applying the Rules, it will not be saved. And it will not save the rules for the next time you restart MC. At least not on a Library Client. Is there some way that the changes could be saved to the library servers library or something, so we don't have to add all the rules every time? I will get really tired of adding music videos and podcast and such to the do-not-play rule after xx number of days.
