Playing multiple albums.........
« on: May 09, 2012, 08:51:28 pm »

When I listen to music (when I'm not sitting down to listen to an album) I like to pick an artist and play through their entire catalog. In JR after the last song of an album it starts that album over. Is there any way to continue on to the next album without having to manually change it? I don't use playlists at all, I just go to Artist in the tree and go from there. I can't seem to find a setting anywhere for this, and I'm not finding any documentation on it............thanks.

Sounds like you have Repeat enabled.  See the upper right area of the display.

If I'm in Std View > Audio > Artists, hover over the artist I want (don't drill down into them) and press "Play" above the artist name, all albums get added to playing now.

Even with repeat option enabled, this would still play all albums, then repeat them all...

Repeat was on, doh! Never used it. When I turn repeat off playback stops after the last song of the album though, rather than starting the album over.

imugli's suggestion works, it adds all tracks from that artist to 'Playing Now'. It would be nice if I could do that when selecting an artist from the tree, if only because I prefer that screen layout.

Thanks guys.

Use a Panes view that mimics the tree.  Then you can select (and play) arbitrary branches.
