sound breaking up
« on: May 16, 2012, 02:51:12 pm »

Please forgive my ignorance-  first time post. I will need specific info to address the problem.
Windows XP OS.   I was told that my hard drive was overloaded with music files so I bought an external drive and moved them and then deleted from C drive. I still have problems with songs breaking up while running various programs at the same time. For example, while looking at emails on gmail (google chrome) the sound skips around when I move from email to email or scroll down the list.  Jukebox is still on my C drive and plays the files in the I- external drive but the sound is still bad.  What can I do???         Thanks

You might work through this guide:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Setup

In particular, the audio output and buffering settings may help.

I'd also recommend Media Center 17.

Thanks-  moved buffering bar around mid-way. Sound about right to you?
Also followed other directions-  So far, so good.
