Crash and AC3 playback problem
« on: May 17, 2012, 01:51:23 pm »

When I try to play a AC3 file without DSP studio MC17 is always crashing at this point:

As I understood the settings should change automaticly.

But I doesnt want to use DSP studio for playing AC3 files. Any idea?

Thanks in advance

I think the message is saying you don't have a 6 channel output.  You could configure DSP Studio > Output Format manually to output 2 channels.

I'm not sure if you're hoping to bitstream audio, but it's not supported.  Bitstreaming is only for video or DSD.

Dear all and Matt, I purchased now MC18 and I have the same problem as with MC17. If I try to play AC3 files MC always crashes. Is there any posiblity (as in older versions) not to use DSP-Studio for playing AC3 files?
My hardware can play them without any problems - I tested it with Creative MediaSource 5 - this is a very simple, old and small player.

Any help is very welcome becouse this is my only problem what I have with your excelent media player software.
