Sounds like you've got WMP9 installed which IS NOT compatible with MJ v8. Worse yet is if these files were encoded with WMP (there's a recent related post on this). You need to install WMPXP over WMP9 (if possible) or install WMP v7.1 if on any other OS.

MJ plays well Wma V.2 and V.8, MJ don't play only the new V.9 of Wma. The files were encoded by you? Or did you reinstall the OS? I'm saying that because if you reinstaled your OS and if your WMA files were encoded with DRM they don't play in your new OS unless you find the license

You may have two separate issues.

1.  The WMA license.

2.  The version of WMP.

By the end of this week, we should have a version of MJ 8 that supports WMP9.  That will solve #2.  Maybe it will solve #1.
