Mc18 freezes [Solved]

Hi,

Please help!

I recently purchased Mc18. I use it for music and use Wasapi mode. I love the look and sound but it does freeze or hang and I have to restart the Media Center. I run Win 8 on a Toshiba laptop with a hiface into an MF dac. How can I find the culprit or what could it be?It's a shame as I really enjoy the sound.

Try WASAPI Event Style.  Set it to Exclusive.

If that doesn't work, try DirectSound.  Does that work.

The wiki has a "DAC Settings" topic.

Check the manufacturer for a firmware update.

Thanks Jim.I will try Wasapi Event style.How does it differ from Wasapi?

I am now using Wasapi Event Style and have altered the buffering and all seems to be well. No freezes yet. Thank you for your help Jim.
