Why alway 48kHz/24bits?
« on: April 13, 2013, 09:02:19 pm »

I use MC to send my flac files, via Ethernet cable, to 3 separate Linn DS players - 2 Akurate and a Linn Sneaky. Some of my music has been downloaded from the Linn Recordings site and is in a 192kHz/24 bit format. Both Akurates are set up to display the bit and sample rate of the file it is receiving and it unvaryingly, relentlessly informs me that it is always receiving a 48kHz/24 bit file. How do I get MC to send those playback devices song files in their native audiophile format.

This has become very trying for me because I cannot seem to locate MC's internal switches that will allow me to send those hi-res files in their true format and everything thus arrives at my DS players at the (ho hum) 48kHz/24 bit standard.

Thank you.
