Importing dBpoweramp metadata?
« on: February 27, 2013, 05:29:19 am »

Is it possible to import certain dBpoweramp metadata info such as the Accuraterip outcome or any thing else for that matter, and if so how? Some dBp tags might be "non-standard" tags for MC.

Thanks.

You can add tags to MC if you know the exact name.  Search for "custom tag" on the wiki.

I ripped all my cds (1000s) with dBpoweramp - all you need to do to get MC to 'see' the tags that dBP rips is ..

Add the tag to MC (get the spelling exactly right)

Tools > Options > Library and Folders > Manage Library Fields > Add New Field  ... and add it

Get MC to pickup the new field...

Click on the "Files" view (or any view for which you can select all the tracks you want the new tag for)

Select all the tracks.

Tools > Library Tools > Update Library from Tags

Should do it.

You won't need to do this for new dBpoweramp rips - the tag will get picked up automatically.
