MC and Windows 8
« on: March 09, 2013, 05:15:40 pm »

I upgraded my computer to W8 and my MC stopped playing music. I constantly receive a message that the choisen format is not supported. I tried all available formats even playing a CD and still no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

Download and install updated audio drivers from the manufacturer of your audio chipset (probably Realtek if it is onboard audio).

I am using RME AES 32 sound card which is connected to Trinnov Room Correction. I updated the drivers of the RME card but no sound output. I spent 4 hours playing with clock synch and different mode and rate options and so far no luck. I was wondering if some other users are using digital audio output connections up there. I am sure I am doing something wrong with the settings....
The video is perfect...just can't get the sound out    ?

I have further played with the settings of the MC. Still no luck to play audio. I think that there is a problem with the ASIO driver....I can play DVDs with no audio. Music - still no luck at all.
It is interesting that the Windows MC plays videos but the sound is a bit strange..front channels come from the rear speakers.
I'll try today Total Media MC to see if will play any music.  ?
