Download Manager - Can't download to mapped network drive
« on: April 03, 2002, 12:11:43 pm »

I'm not sure what is going on, but I'm unable to download to a mapped network drive using the Download Manager. I can select the drive and the mapping shows up correctly (\share\folder) however when it downloads the files it creates a new folder on the local computer (\share\folder). Anyway around this, or is there a fix in the works?

Thanks, Jon

All you can do is report it and hopefully they'll get it fixed. In the meantime, map the name to a drive letter and it will work.

Quisp411 - is the network drive mapped as a drive letter to your system with Explorer or are you using a UNC from within Download Manager?

Mapping to a drive letter worked like a charm, thanks!

Quisp411 - Cool! Glad that workaround works for you. The UNC should work of course - I'm sure they will get to it eventually.
