Shutting Down
« on: March 31, 2013, 11:02:17 am »

I  have the latest version of Media Center 18 running on widows Vista.
Whenever I start Media Center it shuts down after about 5 seconds.

I have de installed and reinstalled program about 4 times with the same results.

I also re boot my computer everytime

Just wondering if someone has seen this or has a solution for me.

Thanks

This isn't a common problem.

Try disabling any security software, just to see if it might be causing problems.

Uninstalling and resetting all settings might also be worth a try (you can restore settings later with a library backup).

Same thing happened to me a few days ago.  MC18 running on Windows 7.  The Constant Guard security package from my ISP (Comcast) decided that MC18 was some sort of threat.  I can't remember the pop-up message it gave me but, after disabling Constant Guard, all was well.
