Anyone else finding Update Library (from tags) fails to update the library with date changed in WMAs using an external program?

1 On some WMAs already in MC library, change the date in an external program
2 In MC, do "Update Library (from tags)"

Expected: "Library updated for <n> files (0 failures)" and MC Date updated
Observed: "Library updated for <n> files (0 failures)" but MC date unchanged

3 Check files with Mp3tag:



4 Delete "JR/Date" from files and repeat.

Same fail.

You're changing the [date] tag, yet looking at the [year] tag in MC. Did you take a look at the [date] tag in MC to see if it's been changed to what you specified in the external program?

I understand that the Date field in MC is supposed to map to the Year field in WMA. I can find no documentation on this, but I see for newly imported files, MC Date shows the value of Year.

Sorry - I thought the lower of the two programs in your picture was MC - I didn't look carefully!
