I just downloaded a trial-version of the JRiver media player to my PC and have added my media files. I want to use this player as a local DLNA server to be able to access these files from my Blu-ray player to my TV via my wireless home network. Unfortunately, Windows Media Player is rather hit and miss (mostly miss) when it comes to accessing the music files, so Sony suggested that I try using third-party DLNA server software. That's why I chose JRiver. I want to turn on the local streaming option on the JRiver player but cannot figure out how. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

Start by enabling Tools > Options > Media Network > Use Media Network to share this library and enable DLNA.

How you initiate playback depends on your device's capabilities.
