DST Compressed files

TL;DR:
1 - Can I convert uncompressed dff files to DST compressed files?
2 - From the wiki I read DSD is processed internally as 64-bit PCM but my files are 24-bit; is that then dithered or discarded?
Thanks!
Long story if you care for it:
I've dug up my archive of sacd iso's and split them to dff files with sacd_extract.
I've noticed some files are much larger than others while they are the same length. For instance, one 4 minute file is 71 MB, another is 171 MB. Since they have the same bitrate (both 2 channels), I can only assume one file has DST compression and the other does not, but I have no way of checking this. MC's [Compression] tag lists them both as DSD.
When I convert both the 71 MB and the 171 MB file to uncompressed wave I get a 24-bit 352.8 kHz file of ~515 MB. When I convert that to flac at 24-bit/96 kHz, the result is 81 MB, even bigger than the smaller dff file

#1) Sorry, but MC can't convert DSD to DSD with DST compression.
#2) Internally DSD to PCM is 64-bit. If you convert to PCM, you will get 24-bit for any bit-depth greater than 24-bit (because most encoders and hardware don't support more bits).
