MC17 crashes when stopping video playback through media network
« on: October 14, 2013, 10:25:31 am »

I've been having a problem with MC17 crashing while trying to play videos on one of my client laptops.  I have a MC17 "server" desktop set up in my house.  When I try to play a video from the library server on my MC17 client (laptop), I had trouble opening the file, getting a message "something went wrong with playback.  Details: Failed to find or open file. (hr=0x80004005)".  In troubleshooting the error, I went into Media Network Options and turned off Video Conversion under Client Options.  I am now able to play videos just fine.  However, when I stop a video, MC17 crashes and closes.  Music streams just fine without any issues.  So do images & pictures.  This just seems to be affecting videos.  Anyone have any ideas?
