Volume Drop

I seem to be loosing quality after a few seconds of play.

The volume on the track drops to about 2/3rds of the original.

Any ideas what might be causing this ?

Are you using any dsp plugin that adjusts volume and a buffer too (playback-output-settings set closer to 'skip resistant')?  Sometimes that combination takes a few seconds to kick in.
