COVER ART
« on: November 15, 2013, 08:50:51 pm »

When downloading TV and Movie info for downloaded TV shows is there an automatic way to get cover art not a snapshot of that episode?

That would be nice - but is there a cover shot for an episode? I have not seen any.
Over at TVDB.com they provide an "episode image" but that is really nothing but a screen (snap)shot.

If you would like to use the series or season art for each episode rather than the episode snap shot, you can save it from TVDB in the same folder as the series or season and name it folder.jpg.   MC will then automatically use this art for each episode.

Yes, every episode in that same folder.

But then you have the same picture for every episode.
At least the snapshot provides a different picture for each episode. I set mine to take the screen shot 90 seconds into the episode so I have less chance getting a picture of a commercial (as the commercials start right after the show introduction).

I agree.  I actually have mine set up with the Series poster for the premiere/pilot Episode, the Season poster for the first Episode of each Season, and then the Episode snapshot for all other Episodes.  But if the OP wants to do it that way, I was just writing how it can be done.
