I would like MC to implement that is you right click on the stop-button it will stop after the current song is finished (as opposed to immediately), and it would also be nice if right click on "next" jumped to a random song in the list.

I would like MC to implement that is you right click on the stop-button it will stop after the current song is finished (as opposed to immediately)

This would be a "hot key" for Ctrl+Shift+S that is available from Standard View > Player > Stop After Current File.

I'd support this but I'm not desperate for it.

The other suggestion for a randomise jump doesn't worry me. I set up smartlists with shuffle included, so I build randomness in.

I've requested something similar before - I would find it more useful to have a preference so that the stop command would always "Stop after current file.
If you wanted to stop immediately, you would click stop again.

That way you would be able to use the feature with remotes or media keys on a keyboard, rather than it only working with a mouse.

An easier solution might be to add "Stop after current file" to the "repeat" menu above "Stop after each item" - though there's no reason you couldn't have both of these.

I guess a preference is ok or a "stop after item"-option. I am not against this, but the good thing about the right mouseclick is that it's not another option people have to see. People who don't use it, or don't know it will probably never even know the right-click-function is there, so the "UI/complexity-cost" is very low.

Why not use Play Doctor ??
Or shuffle your playlist ??

Shuffling the playlist isnt the same, and its slower with bigger lists. First of all the order of the songs can be as i wish, for instance sorted by artist, i just want to jump to a random song, and continue from that spot if its something i like. I is also instant, where as shuffling the whole list is not. if i could make decision myself, i would have a dedicated "jump to random"-button, but having the left-click is a way to solve it that won't be noticed at all by the people who don't use the function, so its a bit more "smooth" of a solution.

+1 on the ability to stop after the current (or a future) song in Playing Now.

That way you would be able to use the feature with remotes or media keys on a keyboard, rather than it only working with a mouse.

You could program your remote to do it:

10036   MCC_STOP_AFTER_CURRENT_FILE   bool bStopAfterCurrentFile (-1 toggles)

http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Center_Remote_Instructions#Tips_and_Tricks

An easier solution might be to add "Stop after current file" to the "repeat" menu above "Stop after each item" - though there's no reason you couldn't have both of these.

I guess I don't understand the difference.  If you don't hit play again, the current file stops.  If anything, "stop after each item" needs to be fixed so that it advances to the next track, but it doesn't play it (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=85596.0).
