Movies in video category and vice-versa
« on: January 26, 2014, 02:17:22 pm »

I have my movies in a movie sub folder and my videos in a video directory...
Why does MC mix them all up when, for example I look at "Movies" in theater view, and only a few show, and a bunch of videos are listed?
How do I fix this?
Obviously having them in specific directories doesn't matter.

Try editing the tag called "Media Sub-type".

Thanks...but I can not see where I can manually edit sub-type on more than one at a time...?

Select the videos, and use the Tag Action Window.  Add the Media Sub Type tag if it is not already there in the list (upper left, pulldown, select Also Show).

You can have MC set the Media Sub Type (and other tags) on Import, based on the folder name, with the appropriate rules.  See:

Awesome! Thank you...
I'm totally not utilizing the full power and features of MC!
